Save the date for November 19th at the Rochester Area Foundation for a discussion on "Smart Estate Planning with the Use of a Donor Advised Fund." Mark Utz of Wendland Utz and Attorney Denise Kelly from U.S. Bank will speak on this important topic. The presentation will cover the important charitable-giving device that is the Donor Advised Fund. Mark and Denise will discuss not only the basics of Donor Advised Funds (i.e., What is a Donor Advised Fund? Why have one? What are their pros and cons?) but will also help the group come to a deeper understanding of how Donor Advised Funds function, options for choosing a custodian and the impact of the recent tax law updates on the use of Donor Advised Funds.
